Coconut Shell
Activated Carbon
Premium microporous carbon for high-performance adsorption applications.
Product Overview
Our coconut shell activated carbon is produced from carefully selected coconut shells sourced from Southeast Asia, processed in our Fujian production base using advanced steam activation technology. The result is a carbon with exceptionally high micropore volume and surface area, delivering superior adsorption performance.
Coconut shell carbon is the preferred choice for applications requiring high purity, low ash content, and excellent hardness. Its natural microporous structure makes it particularly effective for removing trace contaminants from water and recovering precious metals.
Key Applications
- Drinking water purification
- Gold recovery (CIL/CIP)
- Food & beverage decolorization
- Pharmaceutical purification
- Aquarium filtration
- Air purification systems
- Solvent recovery
- Decaffeination
Manufacturing Process
Raw coconut shells undergo carbonization at 600°C in oxygen-free kilns, followed by steam activation at 900–1100°C. The activation process creates an extensive internal pore network with surface areas exceeding 1000 m²/g. Each batch is tested for iodine value, hardness, ash content, and moisture before packaging.
